Who Are You?
I have been married for 32 years to Andrew Eddie. We have three adult children and three adorable grandsons. I began my working life as a primary school teacher. I did this for 17 years before becoming a pastor with the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia in 2008. Since then I pastored churches in Southern Queensland and New Zealand. I have always been passionate about connecting with the community.
How did you get involved in Wesleyan Community Care?
One of the questions that I always wanted to answer was how should the church connect with the community. That led me to undertake a doctoral study investigating how the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia does community outreach. Joining the Wesleyan Care Team has allowed me to utilise a lot of what I learnt.
What excites you about Wesleyan Community Care?
I love to see people flourish. I love to see churches and secular organisations supporting their community in ways that are practical and meaningful.
